The first time I remember using Ki energy
to aid someones
recovery
was in 1993 at a weeks training course,
a student had tennis
elbow
and between us we managed to fix it.
My interest in the healing side
of martial arts
grew from there,
and it progressed in the art as I
did.
Two years later in1995 my wife and I decided
to take a couple
of years off work and do
some traveling.
During this break we
spent three months in Malta,
where I met a tai chi instructor called Mike,
We
seemed to hit it off and I was
invited to his classes which I enjoyed.
During
these classes he asked me
how long I had been doing Reiki.
I
told him I had no idea what Reiki was
and soon after this I received an invitation
from his Reiki master to attend a class.
When we shook hands he asked
me
how long I had been a Rreiki master.
Unlike a dojo the energy
in his
class seemed soft and gentle.
A few days later the holiday
was over,
when I returned home I looked for,
and eventually found,
a Reiki Master and received attunements
for Reiki Master in the Usui system,
and attunements to Karuna, Sekhem,
and Tibetan Reiki,
that
is when I started to learn tai chi,
chi kung, and jin shin jyutsu
In1998 I started officially teaching
and doing alternative therapies,
this lasted for seven years, until 2005,
when I thought I had retired.
I became a spiritual healer,
and now I teach martial arts healing,
I have gone full circle, back to where I started from,
martial arts healing
is not for everyone,
but I know that in my experience,
it
is the most successful of all the therapies
that I have learned over the years.
Knowledge of martial arts is not necessary,
however doing this will increase
the flow of Ki
and hopefully help your technique.
They
are free!!
